Roman-born singer/musician Alex Britti played unfortunately to a less-than filled Giovanni da Udine theatre the other night. Lacking in audience “warmth”, the two-hour show was nevertheless entertaining as Britti, since the age of 17 when he started his first band playing blues in various clubs in Rome, captivated the audience with his great guitar skills (also on slide guitar)! Britti was backed up by 5 great musicians (especially the drummer). His first big hit was in 1998, “Solo Una Volta (O Tutta La Vita)” and then the following year he won the newcomers’ category at Italy’s famous San Remo Song Festival with the song “Oggi Sono Io”.
